1. Project Overview

A growing warehouse-based distribution company approached Merto Software Solutions with a recurring issue — they lacked a centralized system to track stock efficiently across multiple locations. Employees were relying on spreadsheets and manual logs, leading to delays, inaccuracies, and wasted inventory.
The client wanted a modern, easy-to-use system with a mobile app to scan QR codes and a web portal to manage inventory, generate labels, and track movements in real time.

2. The Challenge

Key bottlenecks included:

  • No centralized inventory system
  • Manual stock taking leading to frequent errors
  • No QR/barcode labeling in place
  • Inability to track item movement between locations
  • Need for both mobile and desktop interfaces

We started with an in-depth discovery session with warehouse staff, managers, and IT stakeholders. Our goal: to design a modular solution that worked on-site (warehouse floor) and off-site (office/admin).
